Home: Welcome
What is Radical Communication?
The Roots
"Radical Communication: A Behavioral Look at Language and Culture" is a course hosted at the Umbra Institute in the beautiful Perugia - a medieval town located in hills of central Italy - and is taught by Rocco Catrone, MS, BCBA. This course looks at how production and formation of language affects the way people behave through the lens of radical behaviorism and functional contextualism in order to explain how the behavior of language forms the cultures which we live in.
Each semester this course is taught, students will be reacting to the readings, lectures, and community outings via blog posts, pictures, and videos that can be found on this site as well as our various social media sources.
